Floyd Grocholski's Family Traditon
  • Javeetski July 2010
Mid-Michigan is very blessed to have two bands that have members in their early to late 20's. One being Polka Riot. Another band that gets overlooked though for having youth in their band is is Floyd Grocholski's Family Tradtion. Led by MI.State Polka HOF inductee Floyd Grocholski. The band features a female bass player (who plays much like Robin Morzinski), a drummer and trumpet player all in their early to mid 20's. Very talented group including lots of youth. They also have Gary Grocholski and the talened Rich Kowlaski on the sax and clarinet.
Next time your in MI, and want to see youth talent at it's best, check out The Family Traditon and Polka Riot. Also, can't forget 14 year old polka fiddleing sensation Brien Ahern with The Steve Drzewicki Band. Which leads me to:
St.Anne's Parish Fest, Center St in Linwood, MI next Sunday, Aug 1st. The Family Traditon from 12-4pm and The Steve Drzewicki Band from 4:30pm-8:30pm. www.stannelinwood.com for more info
